Dear Sister

(Image from Amazon.com) SUMMARY Dear Sister is a collection of notes written from the perspective of an older brother to his younger sister.   The boy's parents ask him to write notes to his brand new baby sister for her baby book, and he is not thrilled about getting a new sibling.  His parents ask him to do this for years, and so he continues to write notes and draw pictures to his little sister.  He doesn't sugarcoat anything, which adds a true element of honesty and also a little humor.  His opinion on his little sister changes throughout the book, as he is originally not thrilled, but later learns the joys of having a sibling.   APA CITATION McGhee, Alison. Dear Sister. Atheneum Children's Books, 2018. MY OPINION & RECOMMENDATIONS This book is unique and precious.  I think this collection of notes can be so humbling and relatable to so many students who are also going through this same life transition.  I would probably recommend this for late elementary, purely
